What a beautiful day!

Today is absolutely beautiful! Fall is in the air! Fall is my favorite season!

Yesterday I went to Chelsea's first Fall soccer game. She plays on a team with boys and girls, and they can be any age under 20! My daughter is playing soccer with boys with facial hair! It was a great game, although I don't remember the final score. I do know that her team, the Rebels, won. Chelsea had a great assist and made a great goal with a shot using her left foot. I was really worried she would be intimidated by the older kids and buy the guys, but I think she took that as a reason to try even harder to prove herself. And she did. At the end of the game there were lots of kids coming up to her and saying "Good game, Cheeto, great goal."

Yesterday afternoon I went to lunch with my friend, Laura. We had been planning on going to lunch all summer and it took us until the end to get around to it! We went to Applebee's. I had the Oriental Chicken wrap, which I loved. I enjoyed the company even more though. After lunch we went to Target where she bought her husband an MP3 player and I bought myself two t-shirts for "back-to-school".

I go back to school tomorrow, and I can't wait. I have Contemporary Math and, I think, Marriage as an interpersonal process. Guess I'd better check my schedule!

Today I finally fixed my plumbing problem. I got two wrenches yesterday and a new adapter thing. I have no idea what it is called. With some serious elbow grease and lots of teflon tape I seem to have stopped the leaking!

But now I have another problem. I went to get on the basement computer to update my blog, when I saw some pop-up windows, the first telling me I'd been infected by some trojan, then some gambing, pop-ups, then some sex pop-ups. I haven't been on this computer for awhile so all I can think of is that when my friends teenage son stayed here about a week ago he may have gotten onto some websites that Chelsea and I don't go to. I checked my programs and there were two programs installed on the day he was here. I removed them but still get this pop-up from www.thespyguard.com telling me that I need to pay for and download their anti-spyware software. I am running my own security software now to see what I really do have. This sucks because I've never had a virus before. I guess I probably need to have a password in order to use the computer, but he's not here that often, so we'll see. I'd suspect Chelsea but she was in Montana at the time so she is most likely innocent. I do know she has used this computer since she got back, and hasn't mentioned the pop-ups (maybe she was too embarrased, because the sex on is very graphic). Plus the downloaded programs were loaded while she was gone. Oh well, it was bound to happen sometime and I guess I'm pretty lucky not to have had this problem before.

My friend, Tammy, left for Iraq yesterday. She called me from Norfolk, VA a little while ago. She is waiting for her flight overseas. I worry about her, although the Air Force really tends to be a safe service and she will probably be at a very secure installation, but, none the less, she is going to a combat zone and leaving her family behind for six months. If anyone wants to send care packages let me know and I'll give you her address. I know anything would be appreciated, and she is more than willing to share any excess with all the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines she will be working with.
